The Summer Strong Series is ideal for both those new to exercise and those who have years (or decades!) of experience.
You must be able to stand and perform continuous movements for up to an hour. You must also be able to perform exercises on the floor. Concerns with starting a new exercise program should be cleared first by your physician.
You will learn baseline movements and modifications for movements as needed, so that you can participate as completely as you like in each session. This series emphasizes learning and using proper form over competitiveness.
While you do not have to participate in every training session, you will receive more benefit with the more sessions that you attend.
Tuesdays + Thursdays at 10:30 AM from June 18-August 29 (no sessions week of July 4) at Yoga Melrose studio
50-60 minutes each session
Introductory session + fitness/goal assessment: June 13th at 10:30 AM

about: ashley uphoff I’ve trained men, women and children of many different ages and abilities. As a Certified Personal Trainer (NASM-CPT), I’ve discovered that what I love most about fitness is that there is a way for everyone to enjoy it; the secret is finding out how!
While my favorite way to stay fit is through weight lifting, introducing other women to weight lifting is even more rewarding! I love showing women that being strong is empowering and can completely change the way we view ourselves and our bodies.
I enjoy taking a holistic approach to fitness with the understanding that our mental and physical well-being are improved by a healthful and balanced life. My other interests include nutrition, farming, and DIY-ing.
