I'm new. What should I wear? Wear whatever lets you move and breathe comfortably—there's no dress code here. Leggings, sweatpants, shorts, t-shirts, workout clothes, or comfortable layers all work. If you can sit, stretch, and relax in it, you're dressed perfectly for class. No special outfit required. Just come as you are.
What happens in my first class? You'll be guided every step of the way. You won't be expected to know what comes next, understand yoga terminology, or keep up with anyone else. Your instructor will offer clear guidance, options, and modifications throughout class. Expect a welcoming environment where you can move, breathe, stretch, strengthen, and reset at your own pace. Our goal isn't perfection—it's helping you feel better when you leave than when you arrived.
What should I bring? Just yourself. If you have a yoga mat, feel free to bring it. If not, we have one available for you to use. You may also want a water bottle, but that's completely optional.
How early should I arrive? We recommend arriving 5–10 minutes before class begins so you have time to get settled and comfortable. If it's your first visit, arriving a few minutes early also gives you a chance to ask questions and meet your instructor. Running late? Don't let that stop you from coming. We'll help you get settled when you arrive.
What if I can't do a pose or movement? That's completely normal. Every class includes options and modifications. You never have to do every movement to receive the benefits of class. If something doesn't feel right for your body, you can modify, rest, or choose a different option. We encourage you to listen to your body—not push through discomfort. Success isn't doing every pose perfectly. Success is feeling better when you leave than when you walked in.
What if I'm not flexible? Then you're in good company. Most people don't come to class because they're flexible. They come because they want to move better, reduce stiffness, feel stronger, manage stress, or simply feel more comfortable in their bodies. Flexibility is not a requirement. It's something that can improve naturally over time.
What if I've never done yoga before? Many of our students started exactly where you are. Our classes are designed for real people, real bodies, and real life. You don't need experience, special skills, or knowledge of yoga to participate. If you can breathe, you can begin.
What if I can't keep up? You don't have to. This is not a competition, and no one is measuring your pace. You are encouraged to move at a speed that feels right for your body. Taking breaks, modifying movements, or resting is always welcome.
What is the studio culture like? Our studio is a feel-better space—not a performance space. People come here to move, recover, build strength, reduce stress, improve mobility, and reconnect with themselves. No one is expecting perfection, and no one is watching you. Most people are focused on their own experience. You belong here before you ever step through the door.
I'm nervous about trying my first class. That's completely normal. Many people worry they'll be too stiff, too out of shape, too inexperienced, too old, too busy, or not "the yoga type." The truth is that most people who walk through our doors have felt exactly the same way. Our job isn't just to teach movement. It's to make sure you feel supported, comfortable, and welcome from the moment you arrive. You don't need confidence to begin. You just need to show up.
Please remember, you do NOT need to be flexible, experienced, in shape, coordinated, or calm to come here. Most people feel nervous before their first class. We got you. The goal isn't to impress anyone. The goal is simple: help you feel better when you leave than when you arrived.
